answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2024 answer text <p>The AI Safety Institute has responsibility for developing and conducting evaluations on advanced AI systems, including assessing potentially harmful capabilities. As part of this, AISI has released an open-source evaluations platform called Inspect. Inspect is designed to help AI safety researchers build more standardised and reproduceable safety evaluations. We will remain a world-leading development donor and are on track to spend more than £10 billion this year to fight poverty, tackle climate change and improve global health.</p><p>The UK is a global leader in tackling plastic pollution. We are co-chair of the Commonwealth Clean Ocean Alliance with Vanuatu, working with 34 Commonwealth governments to tackle plastic pollution. We are supporting the Global Plastic Action Partnership to deliver National Plastic Action Partnerships in Indonesia, Ghana, and Vietnam. The decision by Whitehall Departments to withdraw funding from UKCES during 2016-17 was taken as part of the spending review given the need to make savings in non-participation budgets to allow the core adult skills participation budgets to be protected in cash terms.</p><p> </p><p>The decision had regard to the range of priorities needing to be funded from non-participation budgets.
