No one should be targeted because of the colour of their skin, or their faith. This Government is clear that perpetrators of such hate crimes will face the full force of the law.</p><p>Sadly, we have seen how Muslim communities and other minorities have been targeted in the deplorable acts of violence following the recent tragic events in Southport. This Government will make sure that criminals intent on causing violence and unrest on our streets will be stopped in their tracks and brought to justice thanks to the new National Violent Disorder Programme. We are also providing rapid additional support to mosques through the Protective Security for Mosques Scheme to protect Muslim communities, which comes on top of the £29.4 million already made available to fund security at mosques and Muslim faith schools this year.</p><p>British Muslims are a crucial part of Britain’s history and British life today. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/05/2022 answer text <p>The UK does not give any subsidies to fossil fuels, and follows the approach of the International Energy Agency, which defines fossil fuel subsidies as measures that reduce the effective price of fossil fuels below world market prices.</p><p> </p><p>The International Energy Agency has a long-standing track record in systematically measuring fossil-fuel subsidies using a commonly applied methodology. This definition was originally developed with the European Commission and G20 EU Member States to respond to the G20 commitment to phase out such subsidies.</p><p> </p><p>The government takes its environmental responsibilities seriously, and recently published the Net Zero Strategy on how the UK will deliver on its commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2050. Pricing carbon (including through tax) is one of the most efficient tools for promoting decarbonisation and already plays a key role in helping the UK achieve net zero emissions. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/05/2021 answer text <p>Graduate Diplomas in Law (GDL) are courses that are generally shorter in duration and/or of a lower intensity than a master’s degree. Students on these courses are less likely to face the same financial barriers as those studying a full postgraduate degree and as a result, a GDL does not fall within scope for a postgraduate master’s loan. However, if a higher education provider was to include the GDL as part of a course which led to a master’s qualification (such as a Master’s in Law), then a student would in principle be eligible for the postgraduate loan.</p><p>The Education and Skills Funding Agency has approved a range of law qualifications across a range of levels for funding for post-16 study. This includes qualifications which are available for 16- to 19-year-olds as well as post 19-year-olds, including through advanced learner loans. This includes the statutory Prevent duty. The government has published statutory guidance on Prevent (<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/prevent-duty-guidance" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/prevent-duty-guidance</a>) explaining that universities are required to consider the impact and mitigations needed to host a particular speaker and whether their views constitute extremist views and risk drawing people into terrorism.</p><p> </p><p>The sector takes these issues seriously and has produced a variety of helpful guidance for hosting speakers. This figure includes renewal applications for a large number of five-year Entry Level Stewardship agreements from 2010 onwards.
