answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2014 answer text <p>The Department for Education does not specifically monitor the use of guidance by schools, which will vary according to the needs of their pupils and how Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are organised locally.</p><p>In June we published advice on behaviour and mental health in schools.[1] This is intended to help schools support all pupils’ mental health and wellbeing so that they can succeed in school. It provides case studies, information and links to organisations that can be approached for advice on providing support and making referrals to specialist services. There is anecdotal evidence of increasing waiting times in some areas. We do not know whether or not this is due to an increase in referrals or the prevalence of mental health conditions but will be seeking further information by commissioning a survey into the prevalence of mental illness in children and young people.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>NHS England and the Department have set up a Taskforce to look into the complex system of provision and commissioning of children and young people’s mental health services. The Taskforce is considering ways to improve access and create services that are more responsive to children’s needs. Additional funding this year is being invested into improving specialised, in-patient mental health services for children and young people. This will help to fund additional bed capacity and case management will also be improved.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><em>Achieving Better Access to Mental Health Services by 2020</em> announced improvements that will be made to services for patients with emerging psychosis, including setting the first ever waiting time standard in mental health from April 2015. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2014 answer text <p>The methodology for HM Inspectorate of Constabulary’s (HMIC) new all-force inspection programme (PEEL programme – police effectiveness, efficiency and legitimacy) is currently in development. A public consultation on the proposed methodology ran from 30 June to 12 September 2014, and HMIC will publish its response in January 2015. Fieldwork for the roll-out of the new full inspection programme is due to begin in January 2015.</p><p> </p><p>The PEEL assessment for 2014/15 will draw predominantly on fieldwork and data from thematic inspections that the Inspectorate has conducted over the last 12 months, including its forthcoming inspection report on Police Integrity and Corruption. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/10/2014 answer text <p>Government has been supporting Lord Davies’ voluntary business-led strategy for the advancement of all women, irrespective of ethnicity or disability. These measures are working. Women now account for 22.8% of board members in FTSE100 companies, up from 12.5% in February 2011.And there are no all-male boards in the FTSE 100 down from 21 in 2011.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We do not collect statistics for, and FTSE 100 companies do not have to report on, the number of disabled or ethnic minorities on their boards.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In September 2014 The Financial Reporting Council published an updated UK Corporate Governance Code, including changes to the preface highlighting the importance of diversity on the board. The findings of the employment tribunal in the case brought by Carol Howard are of concern. It is vital that complaints of racist and sexist behaviour in the workplace are taken seriously, investigated thoroughly and resolved appropriately. The Independent Police Complaints Commission’s (IPCC) recent report on police handling of allegations of discrimination made a number of recommendations to improve police performance in this area. The IPCC will be working with forces, the College of Policing and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary to ensure that these improvements are delivered.
