answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/07/2023 answer text <p>Cyclamen is the UK’s radiological and nuclear detection capability deployed at UK ports of entry, targeted for the illicit movement of radioactive materials. It is one element of the Government's strategy to reduce the threat of terrorist attack.</p><p>As outlined in the updated CONTEST strategy, published on 18 July 2023, we are investing in specialist capabilities, to protect the UK from a range of threats including chemical, biological, radioactive and nuclear.</p><p>This includes enhancing our existing Cyclamen radiological and nuclear border detection capability, upgrading our inland radiological and nuclear detection equipment and ensuring our emergency services have the capability they need to effectively respond to the malicious use of radiological or nuclear materials.</p> answering member constituency Tonbridge and Malling answering member printed Tom Tugendhat question first answered 25/07/2023 15:53:39 answering member 4462 label Biography information for Tom Tugendhat

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/12/2018 answer text <p>We are looking closely at the issues that limit diverse representation, particularly for those facing multiple barriers to participation. Ultimately, parties are responsible for selecting candidates and ensuring they are fielded in winnable seats.</p><p>Political parties have different challenges to face to improve the diversity of their candidates. Many political parties already publish some candidate diversity data voluntarily.</p><p>Our centenary fund is supporting projects in England to engage more women in politics.
