answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/11/2018 answer text <p>Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 creates the offence of driving a mechanically propelled vehicle on a road or other public place without due care and attention, or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road or public place. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) does not maintain a central record of the number of defendants charged with, or prosecuted for these offences. This information could only be obtained by examining CPS case files, which would incur disproportionate cost.</p><p>As Section 3 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 is a specified offence large numbers of careless driving offences are charged and prosecuted by the police with no involvement from the CPS. The CPS only become involved if the defendant pleads not guilty to the offence after which, CPS prosecutors take responsibility for reviewing the case and preparing the trial. Figures on the number of people prosecuted and the outcome of the prosecution of careless or inconsiderate driving offences may be obtained from the official statistics held by the Ministry of Justice.</p><p>The CPS does however maintain records of the number of offences in which a CPS prosecution commenced, including offences of careless or inconsiderate driving. The multiple choice part of the theory test includes questions about the vulnerability of motorcyclists, particularly in the adverse weather conditions, and about their visibility. To ensure that citizens and businesses in the UK and across the EU can plan for life after our withdrawal with confidence, this sets out the terms of an implementation period during which EU citizens and UK nationals will be able to sail into EU waters as they do now.</p><p>The UK Government sees no reason why UK boaters should see any change as a result of the UK’s exit from the EU. For the most part, it is the rules and regulations of coastal states that apply rather than visas or EU legislation, and maritime transport is liberalised at the international level.</p><p>The Political Declaration on the Framework for the Future Relationship between the EU and the UK Government is clear that connectivity in the maritime transport sector will be underpinned by the international legal framework. Therefore, the Government sees no reason why there should be a change in the ability for UK boats to access EU water after the UK leaves the EU.</p><p>The Government has set out that the future relationship between the UK and EU will provide for maritime connectivity, underpinned by the applicable international legal framework. There are now 10.3 million people aged 50 and over in the workforce.</p><p>To support Fuller Working Lives, the Government has removed the Default Retirement Age meaning most people can choose when to retire, and extended the right to request flexible working to all employees with 26 weeks’ continuous service with their employer.</p><p>In February 2017, the UK Government published “Fuller Working Lives: a partnership approach” to set out the role employers, individuals and Government can play in supporting fuller working lives. We have agreed an implementation period that will last for 21 months beginning on exit day until 31 December 2020. During the implementation period, UK boats will have the same access to EU waters as they do now.</p><p>The UK Government sees no reason why pleasure vessels used for recreational purposes should see any change as a result of the UK’s exit from the EU.
