answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/03/2023 answer text <p>Defra does not intend to carry out a formal assessment of the potential merits of requiring drive through fast food outlets to implement a vehicle registration number printing system for packaging. We have concerns that the additional burden this would place on businesses and those responsible for enforcement would outweigh the benefits. We support voluntary initiatives aimed at reducing litter.</p><p>In recent years we have bolstered local authority enforcement powers, such as by allowing them to issue the keeper of a vehicle, from which litter is thrown, with a civil penalty. Councils also have powers to issue Community Protection Notices which can be used to require the owner of premises, such as fast-food outlets, to take certain actions to tackle litter created by their activities.</p><p>Furthermore, the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities has recently updated planning guidance to clarify the powers available to councils to ensure new hot food takeaways do not increase the impact of litter on local communities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/02/2023 answer text <p>The Health Education England (HEE) Performers List Validation by Experience (PLVE) process is in place to enable overseas dentists who have passed the Overseas Registration Examination to join the National Health Service Performers List in a supportive and safe environment. We keep this process under review.</p><p>Provided all the necessary application information is available, an eligible dentist will be accepted into HEE’s PLVE process within four to six weeks. Once confirmed by NHS England, the dentist will join the Performers List at that point, not at the end of the PLVE process. These services help bring communities together, and play a vital role in delivering news, sports coverage and other content that is locally relevant.</p><p>While it is up to the BBC to decide how it delivers its services, the Government is clear that the BBC must make sure it continues to provide distinctive and genuinely local radio services, with content that reflects and represents people and communities from all corners of the UK.</p><p>The Government remains disappointed that the BBC is planning to reduce parts of its local radio output, and Ministers expressed their concerns to the Chairman of the BBC Board and the Director General when they met towards the end of last year.</p><p>The Government understands that the BBC have made a recent announcement adjusting their previous proposal, and we will seek to understand what this means in practice for its audiences.</p><p>The Government expects Ofcom to ensure the BBC is robustly held to account in delivering its public service duties.</p> answering member constituency Hornchurch and Upminster answering member printed Julia Lopez question first answered 26/01/2023 14:22:54 answering member 4647 label Biography information for Julia Lopez
