answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/06/2022 answer text <p><del class="ministerial">The NHS Business Services Authority investigates and processes an average claim in approximately six months from the date of receipt.</del> <ins class="ministerial">The average claim under the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme is investigated and processed in approximately six months from the date of receipt.</ins> Medical assessments for each claim commence once the NHS Business Services Authority receives full medical records from a claimant’s general practitioner, medical providers, local authorities and other relevant healthcare providers. Once sufficient evidence is gathered, claims are assessed by an independent and experienced medical adviser. Friend the Secretary of State wrote to the Insolvency Service on 23 March asking it to undertake an urgent and thorough enquiry into the actions of P&amp;O Ferries, to determine whether the law has been complied with and consider prompt and appropriate action where it has not.</p><p> </p><p>The Insolvency Service has confirmed it has initiated formal civil and criminal investigations into the circumstances surrounding the redundancies made by P&amp;O Ferries.
