Only the most complex issues remain open, with talks focused on goods, services, and investment.</p><p>The Government remains focused on securing a deal in the best interests of the British people and economy. This ensures that steps are taken to avoid or mitigate any potential conflicts of interest.</p><p> </p><p>The Permanent Secretary, together with the Prime Minister’s Independent Advisor for Ministers’ Interests, have reviewed the interests of DBT Ministers and, where necessary, have proposed mitigations to manage any potential conflicts of interest. Talks are now focused on complex issues including goods, services, and investment.</p><p> </p><p>We are working at pace, but we are not committing ourselves to a deadline.
