answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/12/2014 answer text <p>The Ministry of Defence has made no such evaluation of uranium mines or sites in Nevada.</p><p>In 1993, following a report of the Australian Royal Commission on the conduct of nuclear tests in Australia, the UK Government made an <em>ex gratia</em> payment of £20 million to the Australian Government. Friend the Member for Runnymede and Weybridge (Mr Hammond) announced in the House on 2 December that the UK has accepted the Austrian Government’s invitation to attend the Vienna Conference on the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons. It is clear that a large number of states wish to discuss this issue.
