answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/01/2024 answer text <p>At the end of 2023, approximately 700 pieces of Retained EU Law (REUL) were revoked via schedule 1 of the Act (“the revocation schedule”) and subsequent secondary legislation. Unless actively revoked, no REUL was sunset and instead became “assimilated law” after the end of 2023.</p><p> </p><p>The Retained EU Law Dashboard is the government’s public catalogue of each piece of REUL confirmed by government departments, and their status. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/03/2015 answer text <p>Since making the Reports on Payments to Government Regulations and the introduction of the Financial Conduct Authority rules in December 2014 the government has continued to have discussions with all stakeholders. The most recent meeting between the department, civil society and industry representatives was held in February 2015. I have since spoken to representatives from the Publish What You Pay coalition.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government takes extractive transparency very seriously. To support compliance the department has made information available on the gov.uk website. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/10/2014 answer text <p>The Recast of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive came into force on 19 May 2010, with a transposition date of 9 January 2013.</p><p>The Departmental portfolio includes EU Regulations that do not require transposition such as the EU Construction Products Regulation which was adopted in March 2011 and came fully into force in July 2013 and the European Structural and Investment Funds Regulations.<br><br>It is the Department's policy under this Government to avoid and reverse the gold-plating of EU directives by the Labour Government; for example, we have done this on the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive by scaling back the rules on Energy Performance Certificates to the minimum requirements of the directive and scrapping Home Information Packs.<br><br>We also wish to renegotiate powers back to the United Kingdom where appropriate; as a small but pertinent example, my Department has successfully removed the legal requirement in the European Regional Development Fund Regulations (introduced in 2006 under the Labour Government) to fly the EU flag outside our building for one week a year after Europe Day.</p> answering member constituency Keighley answering member printed Kris Hopkins question first answered 13/10/2014 15:18:10 answering member 4043 label Biography information for Kris Hopkins
