answer text <p>The Government welcomes Boeing's announcement on 24 February 2017 to locate their first civil aerospace manufacturing facility in Europe at Sheffield. This new facility will export £80 million of actuation components a year, initially for Boeing's civil 737 commercial aircraft programmes and it is likely to play a role on the military P8 Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Government and Boeing are working closely together on a long-term initiative to advance prosperity in the UK. Ministers from the Ministry of Defence and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy are meeting regularly with the company to monitor progress. For example, Boeing and the Government are working together to build a new £100 million P-8A facility at RAF Lossiemouth in Scotland, creating more than 100 new jobs. Boeing has also announced further investments in the UK, including establishing its first European factory in Sheffield. Furthermore, the Government and Boeing are working with UK suppliers to increase opportunities on future global programmes. This includes a recent event in Seattle aimed at showcasing the capabilities of UK companies to Boeing engineers and supply chain managers. A further event will take place in the autumn.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The current value of contracts between the Ministry of Defence and Boeing and Boeing Defence UK Ltd is approximately £665.75 million and £2.49 billion respectively. Contracts are also held with the Boeing subsidiaries Aviation Training International Ltd and Jeppesen UK Ltd amounting to £415.91 million and £6.59 million respectively.</p><p>The proportion of work by value carried out in the UK is around 53 per cent. This figure is based on direct contracts where the location of work code indicates that work is undertaken in the UK.</p> more like this
