<p>Education is a devolved matter and therefore England and Northern Ireland have different systems for supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The department engages with the Department of Education in Northern Ireland on a range of areas, including wider teacher continued professional development, sharing information about developments and good practice.</p>
