answer text <p>The Department for Transport’s guidance Setting Local Speed Limits instructs that The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996 (as amended) sets out the procedure to be followed when making speed limit orders and other traffic regulation orders. Traffic Authorities will need to comply with the consultation and publicity requirements before making an order, and with the publicity and traffic signing requirements once an order has been made.</p><p> </p> more like this
