<p>From April 2022, the responsibility for investing in new radiotherapy machines
sits with local systems. This approach is supported by The Long Term Plan commitment
to reform the radiotherapy tariff to support timely equipment replacement, while empowering
local systems to determine how their capital is used, linked to their local priorities,
the NHS Supply Chain bulk purchasing power which every provider is able to benefit
from via framework deals amd the 2021 Spending Review, which set aside £12 billion
in operational capital for the NHS and the recent Capital Planning Guidance.</p>
