answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/08/2023 answer text <p>Health education became a statutory part of the school curriculum in September 2020 for all pupils in state-funded schools of compulsory school age.</p><p>The aim of teaching pupils about physical health and mental wellbeing is to give them the information they need to make good decisions about their own health and wellbeing, recognise issues in themselves and others and, when issues arise, seek support as early as possible from appropriate sources.</p><p>At primary school, pupils will learn to recognise and talk about their emotions, the benefits of exercise and simple self-care techniques. At secondary school, pupils will learn about common types of mental ill-health and how to recognise the early signs of mental wellbeing concerns. Schools can teach older pupils about suicide prevention in an age appropriate and sensitive way.</p><p>The department has brought forward the review of the relationships, sex and health education (RSHE) statutory guidance, which will include working with a range of stakeholders and experts over the summer to consider the evidence for making suicide prevention a part of the statutory RSHE curriculum. As part of this, the department will work closely with Three Dads Walking, following their meeting with the Secretary of State for Education on 22 May. In addition, a workshop was held with teachers and roundtable meetings with a panel of experts and families have also taken place.</p><p>A full public consultation on an amended draft of the statutory guidance will take place in the autumn with a view to publishing the final version in 2024.</p><p>The statutory nature of the subjects means that all pupils will be taught this content during their time at school. There is a longstanding UK arms embargo in place for the whole of Sudan, as well as a UN arms embargo on Darfur. These sanctions help prevent weapon flow into the country and encourage the resolution of armed conflict in, and stabilisation of, Sudan. In response to the ongoing conflict and deteriorating humanitarian situation in Sudan, on 12 July the Minister for Africa and Development also announced a package of six sanctions measures under the UK's Sudan (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020. These sanctions will freeze the assets of three commercial entities linked to each party involved in the conflict. These sanctions are designed to press the parties to engage in sustained and meaningful peace process, allow humanitarian access and commit to a permanent cessation of hostilities. Most recently, at the 13 July UNSC meeting on the International Criminal Court's Sudan investigation, we welcomed the ICC Prosecutor's decision to commence investigations into the offences currently being committed in Darfur. The UK has released funding to organisations who are working with local partners to collect, verify and preserve digital content from the conflict, including incidents of significant abuses. This will play a vital role in amplifying the voices of those who are being targeted and would be permissible in future accountability mechanisms, should they be established. A list of panel members who developed outlines for T Levels for delivery between 2020 and 2023 can be found in the attachment. Over 250 employers of all sizes have been involved in the design and content of T Levels. This, alongside the industry placement element of the course, equips more young people with the skills, knowledge, and experience to access skilled employment or further study, and ensures the course content meets the needs of employers.</p><p>The content and assessment approach for each T Level is then further developed by the awarding organisations contracted to develop each T Level. T Level providers decide how best to develop a curriculum that ensures students are able to progress in their learning, undertake a large industry placement and succeed in the assessments for the core and specialist learning. Providers can access free support for issues around curriculum design and assessment from the T Level Professional Development offer. In addition, the T Level Support for Schools and Colleges website offers a range of support for providers to guide them through the implementation of T Levels, including information on delivery of the classroom aspects of T Levels. The Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) is currently reviewing the support for providers offered by Awarding Organisations in advance of the second generation of T Levels, which has included consideration of teaching and assessment resource requirements. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/07/2023 answer text <p>The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) is aware of human-specific technologies, including organ-on-chip technologies, to better identify potential toxicity and safety of novel medicines and has engaged with other organisations active in this space such as the National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement &amp; Reduction of Animals in Research which has hosted meetings on this theme. The MHRA has also provided scientific advice to at least one biotechnology company on the use of this technology to support proof of concept for a new medicine. The MHRA does not identify those with whom it may have had discussions who are active commercially in this space.</p><p>In relation to human specific methods, some medicines have been developed which only have activity in humans, such as eculizumab (Soliris), tebentafusp (Kimmtrak) or CAR T cell products (for instance, Kymriah, Yescarta and Tecartus). These medicines were developed using human specific methods; however, versions of these medicines that were active in animals were, in some cases, also used.
