A Nightingale hospital was not established in Middlesbrough.</p><p>NHS England advises that each trust that hosted a Nightingale hospital is responsible for managing the assets and equipment therefrom including beds and medical equipment. Some of these will have been utilised by trusts hosting the Nightingale hospitals. The remaining surplus stock has been collected and made available for national redistribution under the existing warehousing, asset tracking and logistics contracts.</p><p>Minimal waste will be generated from this process, for example, some stock was perishable and unable to be used beyond use-by dates. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/07/2023 answer text <p>The Government currently has no plans to ban the manufacture of paraquat in the UK for export.</p><p> </p><p>The export of paraquat from Great Britain (GB) is regulated under the GB Prior Informed Consent (PIC) regulatory regime for the export and import of certain hazardous chemicals. Before the export of paraquat can take place, the explicit consent of the importing country is required.</p><p> </p><p>The exchange of information that PIC provides allows the importing countries to make informed decisions on the import of those chemicals and on how to handle and use them safely.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is committed to working internationally to support the safe management of pesticides. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/08/2023 answer text <p>We condemn the direct targeting of civilians and violence against specific groups in Darfur. At the 13 July UN Security Council meeting on the International Criminal Court's (ICC) Sudan investigation, we welcomed the ICC Prosecutor's decision to commence investigations into the offences currently being committed in Darfur. The UK is pursuing all diplomatic avenues, including Ministerial engagement with regional counterparts, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and African Union (AU) to end the violence and de-escalate tensions in Sudan. There is a UN Arms Embargo and Sanctions Regime on Darfur, which we renewed in March 2023. There is also a longstanding bilateral UK arms embargo in place for the whole of Sudan. These regimes have been used to constrain the flow of weapons into the country and support efforts to stop those who pose a threat to stability in Darfur.
