<p>Joining the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership
(CPTPP) could boost the UK economy by £1.8 billion each year and increase UK exports
to CPTPP by £1.7 billion in the long run according to our published scoping assessment.</p><p>When
the UK’s accession enters into force, UK businesses will be able to trade with all
CPTPP members on preferential terms and the Government will support British businesses
in seizing the opportunities created by our membership of CPTPP.</p><p>Accession could
enhance the already strong trade links between Northern Ireland and CPTPP members,
which for Northern Ireland goods exports alone was worth over £900 million in 2022.</p>
