answer text <p>The Antivirals and Therapeutics Taskforce has regular engagement with international partners to share learning on the use, deployment and evaluation of therapeutics and antivirals, including Evusheld. The Taskforce recently met with counterparts from the United States of America and discussed the recent change to the Food and Drug Administration’s treatment guidelines, which recommends physicians advise individuals to have appropriate alternate treatment plans in place, should emerging COVID-19 variants be resistant to Evusheld.</p><p>We continue monitoring whether and how other countries are using pre-exposure prophylactic treatments in people who are moderately to severely immunocompromised.</p> more like this

This could inform a wider testing programme identifying those who have mounted a protective antibody response following vaccination and provide more informed advice.</p><p>No specific cost estimate has yet been made. However, officials are in discussions with experts in this area and further information will be available in due course.</p> more like this

Reports this year indicate Iran has redoubled this repression, with expropriation and repossession of land, destruction of homes, and increasing detention of members of the community. As the Minister with responsibility for the Middle East and Human Rights Lord (Tariq) Ahmad said on 5 August: persecution of religious minorities is a serious human rights violation and cannot be tolerated in 2022.</p><p>We reiterated our commitment to holding Iran to account for its persecution of the Baha'i at the UN General Assembly Third Committee on Wednesday 26 October. We raise Iran's dire human rights record at all appropriate opportunities, both directly with Iranian authorities and in multilateral fora.</p> more like this
