We are working closely with domestic abuse charities, the Domestic Abuse Commissioner and the police to understand the impact of COVID-19 on domestic abuse incidents.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has announced £28m of funding to support domestic abuse charities. The Home Office has announced an additional £2 million in funding to help bolster specialist helplines and online services so that victims can continue to seek support.</p><p> </p><p>We have also launched a campaign to raise awareness of domestic abuse and signpost victims to the support services available. The campaign, under the hashtag #YouAreNotAlone, aims to reassure those affected by domestic abuse that support services remain available during this difficult time. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/05/2020 answer text <p>The £750 million funding package announced by the Government on 8 April is to ensure charities providing frontline services to vulnerable people affected by the pandemic can continue their vital work.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>£360m is being distributed via individual government departments based on evidence of service need. Up to £200m of this will directly support hospices and be administered by the Department of Health and Social Care. Departments are using a range of approaches to allocating funding in order to meet identified needs quickly, including bidding processes and awarding funding directly. Applications are now open for funding for the distribution of food to vulnerable people, safe accommodation for survivors of domestic abuse, armed services charities, and charities working to tackle loneliness and homelessness. Under the Traffic Management Act 2004, each local highway authority has a &quot;Network Management Duty&quot; to manage its roads effectively to keep traffic moving. The authority is required to coordinate works taking place on their roads, and utility companies have a duty to co-operate with the authority. We have been working together closely with councils to ensure they have the resources and support they need to support their communities. This has included issuing guidance, including:</p><ul><li>Guidance for local authorities on the Small Business Grants Fund and Retail, Hospitality and Leisure Fund was published by the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy on GOV.UK on 24 March. We continue to work closely with the sector to monitor any additional pressures.</p><p> </p><p>We recently launched a gov.uk page on coronavirus-related fraud and cybercrime. For example, the Government in September 2019 announced an additional £30m funding for this financial year to ensure offenders are no longer able to hide in the shadows on the dark web and prey on our society’s most vulnerable while they are at home.</p><p> </p><p>Police forces continue to assess threats, the impact of COVID-19, and deploy resources accordingly including on online crimes. Companies working with the NHS are bound by robust contract and data processing agreements that specify how and when the data must be stored, secured, used and destroyed.</p><p>The data that app users have chosen to share with the NHS may be retained for research in the public interest, or by the NHS for planning and delivering services, in line with the law and on the basis of the necessary approvals required by law.</p><p>Data will be stored securely and processed in the United Kingdom.
