We believe they are best placed to know what is required in their communities. To increase opportunities for young people to benefit from open access youth services and youth social action, Government is investing £80 million, in partnership the National Lottery Community Fund, through the Youth Investment and #iwill Funds.</p><p> </p><p>A public call for evidence as part of the review of the guidance which sets out the statutory duty placed on local authorities to provide appropriate local youth services will be announced in due course. We believe they are best placed to know what is required in their communities.</p><p> </p><p>On 10th July this year, my department launched the review of the guidance which sets out the statutory duty placed on local authorities to provide appropriate local youth services. Preliminary roundtables were held with youth sector organisations and young people through the Government’s Youth Steering Group, focussing on the strengths and weaknesses of the current guidance. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has responsibility for occupational health and safety legislation which includes the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005. The Regulations impose duties which, depending on the level of risk, require employers to:</p><p> </p><ul><li>take action to reduce exposure to noise and ensure the legal limits on noise exposure are not exceeded;</li><li>ensure that equipment is properly maintained and used;</li><li>provide employees with personal hearing protection where it’s appropriate;</li><li>provide information, instruction and training;</li><li>carry out health surveillance.</li></ul><p> </p><p>HSE focuses its activities on industries where there are high numbers of workers who are exposed and/or where there is evidence of a high incidence rate of noise induced hearing loss. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2019 answer text <p>As part of its agreed responsibilities, the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education recommends and reviews funding bands to make sure that employers can access high quality apprenticeships, and that funding bands represent good value for money for employers and the government.</p><p>The Institute has highlighted its intention to improve transparency in its approach towards pricing all apprenticeships and will work with trailblazer groups of employers to test improvements. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2019 answer text <p>The Department is funding the Maternal and Neonatal Policy Research Unit at the University of Oxford to investigate the factors associated with the excess perinatal mortality experienced by black, Asian and minority ethnic babies; and identify the factors associated with the excess risk of maternal death for black and South Asian women.</p><p>The NHS Long Term Plan outlines plans to reduce health inequalities and address unwarranted variation in maternity care. This work is led by NHS England through the Maternity Transformation Programme.</p><p>Targeted and enhanced continuity of care from the same midwife, or group of midwives can significantly improve outcomes for women.
