answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/09/2019 answer text <p>The Foreign and Commonwealth Office spent a total of £725,286 on newspapers supplied centrally in financial years 2016-17 to 2018-2019 for FCO staff in the United Kingdom and its diplomatic missions overseas. £617,911 of this was spent on online/electronic newspaper subscriptions which are made available digitally to all staff and £29,658 on print copies for use by its departments in London. The Foreign and Commonwealth Office purchases these through pan-government frameworks and contracts and encourages staff to use newspapers digitally wherever possible in order to ensure efficiency savings. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/09/2019 answer text <p>The Department encourages employees to cycle to work and provides a range of facilities including cycle racks, dedicated changing rooms, showers and drying facilities.</p><p> </p><p>Since 2015 the Department and its Executive Agencies have spent £48,000 on installing and refurbishing bike racks.</p><p> </p><p>The Department offers employees the opportunity to save on the cost of purchasing a bike through the cycle to work salary sacrifice scheme. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/09/2019 answer text <p>The Department strives to create an environment in which our employees can flourish by delivering a comprehensive and innovative health and wellbeing programme. As part of this programme and to encourage staff to cycle to work, the Department provides access to a Cycle to Work scheme which enables employees to trade part of their salary for a loan to buy a bike, cycling safety equipment or both and repay through salary sacrifice arrangements. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/09/2019 answer text <p>The Government takes the conservation of endangered species seriously, with imports of hunting trophies into the UK subject to strict controls under the EU Wildlife Trade Regulations.</p><p> </p><p>The UK has adopted stricter national measures for three species, including tigers, than those set out in CITES and in European legislation. The import and export of live wild taken specimens and tiger parts and derivatives, including hunting trophies, is banned.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is also continuing to work hard on the international stage to agree tough, transparent, global standards on trophy hunting to make sure hunting safeguards are of the highest standard and there is no impact on the sustainability of the species concerned. We will continue to discuss this with other countries.</p><p> </p><p>The Government hosted a stakeholder roundtable in May to hear views from all sides of the debate surrounding trophy hunting.
