answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/07/2017 answer text <p>The information requested is not held by the Department at this time.</p><p>The Department maintains the Renewable Energy Planning Database (REPD), which tracks the progress of new renewable energy projects, including onshore wind projects, as they move through the planning system. The database is updated and published on a monthly basis. An update for June 2017 will be published shortly on the Department’s website at:</p><p><a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/renewable-energy-planning-database-monthly-extract" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/renewable-energy-planning-database-monthly-extract</a></p><p>It should be noted that the REPD shows projects that have applied for planning permission in the previous month or earlier for projects with a capacity greater than, or equal to, 1MW. Smaller suppliers are continuing to grow their market share and now have just over 18% of the domestic retail gas market.</p><p>We have reduced by half the time it takes to switch suppliers and are working with Ofgem to move to even faster and more reliable switching. Total funding for GEF6 including projected investment income and other sources of finance is expected to be $4.43bn (2014-2018). This survey has coverage of around 85 per cent of the market. Data is supplied to BEIS, on numbers of customers by tariff by region by payment type, but as this data is supplied in confidence, individual tariff or company data cannot be made publically available.</p><p>Aggregate statistics are produced and published as part of our quarterly energy prices (QEP) publication. In quarter 1 2017, we estimate 66 per cent of standard electricity and 65 per cent of gas customers were on variable tariffs. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/07/2017 answer text <p>We are increasing public investment in research and development investment by £4.7 billion over the period 2017-18 to 2020-21. This equates to an extra £2 billion per year by 2020-21 and is an increase of around 20% to total government R&amp;D spending, more than any increase in any parliament since 1979.</p><p>We are creating the right environment to incentivise private sector investment in R&amp;D. Innovate UK currently provides funding for research, development and demonstration projects and has funded over 11,000 projects to date, with over 8,000 unique organisations involved.Through Innovate UK, we have established a network of Catapult Centres to commercialise new and emerging technologies and Catapults are forecast to attract total public and private investment exceeding £1.6bn over their first five years of operation. R&amp;D tax credits encourage greater R&amp;D investment by business and in the year ending 31 March 2015 almost 21,000 companies used the R&amp;D tax credits to claim a total amount of £2.45 billion, with R&amp;D expenditure used to make these claims reaching £21.8 billion.</p><p>Science, Research and Innovation will be at the heart of our Industrial Strategy and this Government has bold ambitions to increase R&amp;D and back industries of the future.
