The autumn 2016 number of rough sleepers counted and estimated in a single night snapshot in England was 4,134. In England, 59,090 households were accepted as statutorily homeless and in priority need in 2016/17. 77,240 households were in temporary accommodation at the end of March 2017 in England. There were 214,476 successful cases of homelessness prevention or relief outside the statutory homelessness framework in 2016/17 in England.</p><p>These are also published at a local authority level, including the ten Greater Manchester authorities. Systems that failed the Government’s large scale cladding tests are in use on 165. Cladding systems that passed the tests are in use on eight social housing towers. As each test was completed the Government contacted the owners of all affected buildings to share detailed advice drawn up by the Independent Expert Advisory Panel. Where those materials have failed that test, housing providers have had instructions to review all fire safety arrangements in the relevant property, and to check insulation and other materials in the wall construction. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/07/2017 answer text <p>Where Aluminium Composite Material (ACM) cladding is present on residential buildings over 18 metres in height, the Government is providing testing for local authorities, housing associations and private sector landlords, free of charge. If the screening tests indicate that such cladding would not meet the limited combustibility requirements of the current Building Regulations guidance, it is for landlords in consultation with the fire and rescue service and other experts to determine, and take, the best course of action, communicating closely with residents. My Department has issued advice on the interim mitigating measures landlords should implement.
