A review of teacher assistant standards for schools in England was launched recently. It is led by Kate Dethridge who is being supported by a panel of experts. A public call for evidence will be initiated shortly which will explore good practice across schools. The Department for Education also plans carry out a public consultation once the standards have been agreed by the expert panel. A report published by the Department for Business Innovation and Skills contains estimates of the number of jobs within the wider green economy and its supply chain for each of the twelve statistical regions of the UK. SMRs could also present high value commercial opportunities for the UK.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has commissioned a feasibility study to assess the technical, economic and commercial case for SMRs. This will inform the evidence base for further decision making. A person guilty of this offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 4 on the standard scale or twice the sum which appears to the court to be the value of the tree, whichever is the higher. The standard scale of fines was introduced into the Forestry Act by the Criminal Justice Act 1982.</p><p> </p><p>Changes to the standard scale are made the Ministry of Justice and apply uniformly across all offences using the standard scale.
