answer text <p>It is not possible to distinguish in Hospital Episode Statistics between 'major' and 'minor' amputations.</p><p> </p><p>The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) has calculated the England average rate of amputation per 100,000 population and highlighted the clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) of residence having rates more than 33% higher than the national average.
