We believe that they create an unintended ‘pull factor’, encouraging more migrants to attempt the dangerous sea crossing and thereby leading to more tragic and unnecessary deaths. As an integral component of the Government's response to the Ebola crisis in West Africa, RFA Argus was recently deployed to Sierra Leone as an aviation support ship with three Merlin helicopters embarked. The UK continues to support the UN Access Coordination Unit to improve the movement of goods and people in and out of Gaza. Friend the Member for Witney (Mr Cameron), set out in an oral statement to Parliament on 26 September, Official Report, column 1255, the UK will tackle the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) using all the resources at our disposal. These include humanitarian efforts, which Britain is already leading, aimed at helping those displaced by ISIL’s onslaught, and diplomatic efforts to engage the widest possible coalition of countries. There is now a coalition of over forty countries including a number of Arab countries.
