answer text <p> </p><p>For the purposes of answering this question latest published figures have been <br>provided since the start of the armed conflict in Syria in April 2011. <br><br>Between April 2011 and March 2014, 2,649 Syrians and their dependants were <br>granted asylum in the UK at initial decision. In the same period 45 Syrians and <br>their dependants were granted Humanitarian Protection.<br><br>The Home Office publishes statistics on grants of asylum and humanitarian <br>protection at initial decision to main applicants and dependants in Tables <br>as_02 and as_02_q (Asylum data tables Volume 1) within the Immigration <br>Statistics release. answer text <p> </p><p>The contract requires Capita to deliver 50,000 casework outcomes (including reconsiderations) within nine months of a complete casework service being developed and agreed with the Home Office. As of 8 June 2014, Capita have already implemented agreed processes to deliver 16,780 casework outcomes on reconsideration cases, which count towards the 50,000 outcome target. <br><br>These are being delivered as part of a phased approach, as further processes are under development to achieve a complete casework service.<br><br>The figures provided have been derived from management information and are therefore provisional and subject to change. answer text <p>The UK was amongst the first to express concern at allegations that chemical weapons had again been used in Syria, and called for them to be investigated. <br><br>On 29 April the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) Director General announced he was establishing a Fact Finding Mission to determine the truth behind recent allegations of chemical weapon use in Syria. The UK has continued to stress the importance of this mission determining the full facts.</p><p>We are aware of at least 9 attacks in April in which the use of chemical weapons has been alleged. We consider it likely that chemical weapons have been used on at least some of these occasions. There are a number of pieces of information that suggest that only regime could have been responsible for these attacks, including the use of helicopters to deliver bombs to their targets and the fact that the attacks took place in opposition controlled areas. We have shared the information we hold with the OPCW.</p><p>We condemn the attack on the convoy carrying inspectors to Kafr Zita and urge all parties to the conflict to ensure that inspectors are given secure and unrestricted access to all relevant sites to enable the full facts to be established.</p>

answer text <p>We discuss the security of hydrocarbon sites at the UK-Algeria Strategic Security Partnership, which was established after In Amenas and met for the second time in November 2013. In this forum the National Security Advisor, Sir Kim Darroch, spoke to Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal, Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra and the Algerian military about this issue. I also discussed the importance of security at hydrocarbon sites with the then Algerian Deputy Foreign Minister Madjid Bouguerra during my visits to Algiers in both January and April 2014.</p> more like this
