<p /> <p>Fees were implemented in the Employment tribunals on 29 July 2013. The implementation
project for fees was delivered on time and to budget, and around 70% of employment
tribunal claims are now received on-line.</p><p> </p><p>Fees are part of the Government’s
broader package of Employment reforms. In particular, we want to encourage people
to avoid long drawn out disputes which emotionally damage workers and financially
damage businesses. From 6 May, anyone contemplating bringing a claim to the Employment
tribunals must first consider ACAS conciliation, which is provided free of charge.
The early results are encouraging.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is committed to undertaking
a review of Employment tribunal fees and we will be bringing forward our plans on
the scope and timing of the review in due course.</p>
