The table below summarises the total income from the tuition fees of non-EU domiciled to UK HEIs in the last three academic years. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/10/2016 answer text <p>The Government recently set out its response to the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) Year 2 <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/teaching-excellence-framework-year-2-technical-consultation" target="_blank">Technical Consultation</a> and the operational <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/teaching-excellence-framework-year-2-specification" target="_blank">specification</a> for TEF Year 2.</p><p>Overall, we expect the TEF to enhance the international reputation of UK higher education by encouraging all universities to maintain and improve their teaching standards. By showcasing the excellence of UK higher education, the TEF will support the sector by attracting international students in a globally competitive market. We anticipate that the outcomes of the TEF assessment process will inform student choices, including international student choices. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/10/2016 answer text <p>The UK currently has a high degree of food security as shown by the UK Food Security Assessment (published in 2010 and reviewed in 2012) which analysed the different global factors affecting UK food supply.</p><p> </p><p>Global food security is dependent on a number of factors including increasing production sustainably, reducing waste and ensuring open markets around the world to facilitate trade.</p><p> </p><p>Following a period of higher food price inflation retail food prices have fallen by 7.0% since their peak in February 2014. This is a commitment by stakeholders across the UK food and drink system – from producer to consumer – to work together to respond to pressures on increasingly scarce resources. All the food waste from Defra’s London canteen is recycled.</p><p> </p><p>Reducing waste from Government departments is a key focus of the Greening Government Commitments. In 2014-15, Government departments collectively recorded a 22% reduction in overall waste compared to a 2009-10 baseline. The data on waste tonnages accepted in disposal and recovery facilities is based on standard European Waste Classification (EWC) codes.
