answer text <p>A proposal for a new facility in Bescot is being developed by Network Rail to produce the sleepers necessary for them to maintain, renew, and enhance our rail network.</p><p> </p><p>Development of the proposed facility is the responsibility of Network Rail. Department of Transport officials have this year discussed the proposed facility with Network Rail in order to provide accurate information to Parliament.</p><p> </p><p>I have no plans to make a statement about the proposed facility.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>A proposal for a new facility in Bescot is being developed by Network Rail to produce the sleepers necessary for them to maintain, renew, and enhance our rail network. The facility is intended to make up the shortfall when an existing facility at Washwood Heath is closed to become an HS2 depot.</p><p> </p><p>Network Rail is managing the demand for and supply of sleepers to address the risk from limited production capacity. A stockpile of sleepers has been established to meet demand between Washwood Heath ceasing production in ten weeks’ time and the replacement facility reaching production capacity.</p><p> </p><p>Network Rail has spent approximately £32m on sleepers in the last financial year.</p><p> </p> more like this

Their work currently sums to the equivalent of five full-time staff.</p><p> </p><p>Development of the proposed facility is the responsibility of Network Rail. answer text <p>We take the protection of personal data and the right to privacy extremely seriously. The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA) made our data protection laws fit for the digital age and empowered people to take control of their data.</p><p> </p><p>The DPA and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) introduced a duty on all organisations including social media companies to notify certain types of personal data breaches to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).</p><p> </p><p>Under the GDPR, a company may designate one national regulator in the European Union as its “lead supervisory authority”, so that it does not have to deal with 28 separate regulators. In the case of Facebook, the Irish Data Protection authority takes that role and is therefore leading on this breach.</p><p> </p><p>The ICO is working with its Irish counterpart to ensure that it fulfils its role to protect UK citizens data. This includes establishing the number of UK users affected.</p><p> </p> more like this
