We are pushing for a broad agreement that eliminates the vast majority of tariffs on trade between the two markets and reduces other unnecessary barriers to trade.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Ministers in the Scottish and Welsh Governments and the Northern Ireland Executive, through regular Joint Ministerial Committee meetings, have an opportunity to input into the UK position, where appropriate, and Ministers have been kept abreast of development. Regulatory responsibility for consumer credit transferred from the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) on 1 April. The FCA has transposed key parts of the OFT’s Debt Collection Guidance into binding rules, which sets out the types of business practices considered unfair and incompatible with fitness to operate.</p><p> </p><p>The FCA is undertaking a thematic review into payday lenders’ debt collection practices to ensure that firms treat customers who are struggling with repayments fairly. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2014 answer text <p>As the minister with responsibility for HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) this question has been passed to me to answer.</p><p> </p><p>Following the Spending Review 2013 HMRC is now working on its longer term plans; further announcements will be made in due course on the implications for individuals, their work and the offices that they work in. In addition HMRC will be saying more about the overall size and shape of the department in the autumn.</p><p> </p><p>In terms of addressing the concerns of employees HMRC has been actively talking to its people about the future direction of the organisation. This conversation is being led through a series of <em>Building our Future</em> events, which all staff are invited to attend. As part of that dialogue with staff HMRC has made it clear that the department needs to modernise and has already advised that it will become a smaller, more highly professional organisation working out of fewer locations. Those people who remain with the organisation will have greater opportunities to retrain into a range of interesting and rewarding roles.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>HMRC has not offered any voluntary redundancies in Northern Ireland in the current financial year. However, this cannot be ruled out in the future if redeployment options cannot be found for staff in need of new roles. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/07/2014 answer text <p>The Government takes extremely seriously the threat posed by those who travel from the UK to join terrorist movements abroad and who might return with enhanced capabilities which they may intend to use against the UK or the intention of radicalising others.<br><br>The investigation and monitoring of individuals who pose a threat to our national security is an operational matter for the police and Security Service. Prosecution is always the preferred option for tackling terrorists. But where this is not possible a range of other disruptions may be used. <br><br>These include disrupting travel by cancelling British passports on public interest grounds, dual nationals’ deprivation of British citizenship and exclusion from the UK to prevent their return, and interviews at the border as part of Counter Terrorist investigations. <br><br>We have also proscribed a number of terrorist groups active in the Syrian conflict, including ISIS. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/07/2014 answer text <p> </p><p>The Government committed to reduce the harm caused by hate crime, including antisemitic crime, in <em>Challenge it, Report it, Stop it: The Government’s Plan to Tackle Hate Crime</em> published in 2012 and refreshed in May 2014. Since 2010 this Government has done more than ever to tackle antisemitism and antisemitic attacks.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department for Communities and Local Government hosts the Antisemitism Working Group which brings community representatives together with officials from across Government to ensure a coordinated response to emerging challenges, whether they are domestic, online or international. The Department also partially funds the Cross-Government Hate Crime Programme which leads on a broad range of activities including the development of '<em>True Vision</em>' an online facility to provide information to victims and practitioners and to allow anyone to report hate crime online.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Department works closely with the Community Security Trust, the police and the Home Office to tackle antisemitic incidents.
