answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/09/2018 answer text <p>Criterion 2c of the Government’s export licensing Criteria states that the Government will not grant a licence if there is a clear risk that the items might be used in the commission of a serious violation of international humanitarian law (IHL). Criterion 2c has been in force since the adoption by the EU of Council Common Position 2008/944/CFSP on 8 December 2008.</p><p>Since that time 295 Standard Individual Export Licence applications have been refused under Criterion 2 which covers human rights as well as international humanitarian law.</p><p>Our current database does not breakdown refusals by subsets of the Criteria so the specific information requested cannot be provided except at disproportionate cost.</p><p><ins class="ministerial">The Government publishes Official Statistics (on a quarterly and annual basis) of licences granted and refused for military exports on GOV.UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 12/09/2018 answer text <p>We are investing a record amount on childcare support, spending around £6 billion per year by the period 2019 to 2020. This includes £1 billion a year to deliver 30 hours of free childcare and to increase our hourly funding rates that we introduced in April 2017.</p><p>The department’s increased level of investment was based on our ‘Review of Childcare Costs’, which was described as ‘thorough and wide ranging’ by the National Audit Office. The review looked at the costs of childcare provision, including business rates. We have commissioned new research to understand provider’s current costs.</p><p>The government has also increased Small Business Rate Relief and provided local authorities with funding to support £300 million of discretionary business rates relief. After the cuts and freezes we have made to beer duty since 2013, the average tax in 2018 on a typical pint of beer is expected to be 12p lower than it would otherwise have been.</p><p> </p><p>However this comes at significant cost to the Exchequer.
