During 2018/19 around 4,500 Universal Credit claimants will be interviewed and questions will cover the whole of the customer experience, including telephone contact. In future we will conduct Universal Credit specific surveys. This structured learning provides the skills and knowledge required to support them to answer claimant queries. This includes information about how they may be able to improve the amount of State Pension they are entitled to, as well as providing a view of their National Insurance contribution record. DWP engages with all of its Agencies (Arm’s Length Bodies (ALBs)). Each ALB is also required to provide a Certificate of Assurance regarding compliance with GDPR regulations. Any representations on the effectiveness of data sharing with the Department will be addressed in line with the GDPR.
