answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 20/01/2022 answer text <p>Earlier last year, the Minister for Women and Equalities set out her top LGBT policy priorities, which we are making good progress towards delivering. We have launched a public consultation on our plans to ban Conversion Therapy; we are digitising the Gender Recognition Certificate application process, having already reduced the fee, and are improving healthcare for trans people. In December 2021, we published the HIV Action Plan, whilst also announcing the end of the ban on HIV+ people joining the UK armed forces. This month we have announced an independent review into the impact of the pre-2000 ban on homosexuality in the armed forces on LGBT veterans, as part of the Veterans’ Strategy Action Plan.</p><p>We have appointed Iain Anderson as LGBT Business Champion, and the Prime Minister has appointed Lord Herbert of South Downs as Special Envoy on LGBT rights, with both an international and domestic focus. The UK will also be hosting its first global LGBT conference in June, <em>Safe To Be Me</em>, which will bring together government representatives, businesses, civil society and international parliamentarians to address the safety of LGBT people at home and abroad.</p><p>The UK Government regularly updates GOV.UK to improve the experience and accessibility of users. The Government’s team of Equality Ministers are leading on commitments such as banning so-called conversion therapy, digitising the gender recognition process and delivering Safe to Be Me: A Global Equality Conference, later this year. The Government is drawing on the services and advice of Lord Herbert of South Downs as the Special Envoy on LGBT rights and Chair of the Conference, Iain Anderson as LGBT Business Champion, as well as Dr Michael Brady as the National LGBT Health Adviser. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 05/01/2022 answer text <p>This Government remains committed to stamping out anti-Muslim hatred and all forms of religious prejudice. It is unacceptable for anyone to feel unsafe while practicing their religion and we continue to take a zero-tolerance approach to anti-Muslim hatred. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/09/2018 answer text <p>Indicator 5.c.1 is a non-statistical global indicator to monitor global progress toward Target 5c, which calls on Member States to ‘adopt and strengthen sound policies and enforceable legislation for the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls at all levels’.</p><p> </p><p>The UK’s Office for National Statistics is responsible for providing UK data on the global indicators to the UN for its annual progress reporting.</p><p> </p><p>This Government has adopted many programmes and policies that address Target 5c, including the introduction of gender pay gap reporting regulations, increasing flexible working opportunities, promoting shared parental leave and implementing a strategy to prevent violence against women and girls.</p><p> </p><p>The Government will be reporting on its progress towards implementing Sustainable Development Goal 5 as part of the UK’s Voluntary National Review in 2019.</p> answering member constituency Louth and Horncastle answering member printed Victoria Atkins question first answered 07/09/2018 15:06:42 answering member 4399 label Biography information for Victoria Atkins
