answer text <p>As well as the Plug-in Car Grant, the Government is providing funding for grants for electric vehicle chargepoints, including at people's homes and locations such as train station car parks and on the public sector estate. We have also established a favourable taxation system for company car tax and vehicle excise duty to help nudge more motorists towards these vehicles. There are also numerous local incentives such as congestion charge exemption in London and free parking.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Great Western franchise agreement announced on 3 October 2013 is a new direct award agreement, not an extension to the old First Great Western franchise agreement. No additional capacity on branch lines in Devon and Cornwall was negotiated as part of that franchise agreement. The franchise agreement contains a priced option for the operation of additional locally-funded train services on the Newton Abbot to Paignton line in Devon.
