answer text <p>The common groups of persons who are not employed by the Department but have the appropriate level of clearance to hold security passes entitling them to enter Departmental premises are: holders of judicial office, non-executive directors, contractors, agency staff, and holders of the common civil service pass.</p><p> </p><p>Temporary staff and visitors to the Department’s buildings are issued with an escorted or unescorted day pass subject to the level of their security clearance.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As of 31 May 2016, the DBS had 78,596 disclosure applications in progress which were over 30 days old. In 2015/16, the DBS processed 86.9% of applications within 21 days, against a target of 85%.</p><p>In 2014-15 the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) issued 4,111,856 disclosures. 400,883 of these took longer than 30 days.</p><p>The DBS is reliant on police forces completing their checks in a timely manner and is working closely with those forces whose performance does not meet turnaround time targets.</p> more like this

answer text <p>No assessment has been made of the impact of timeliness on the numbers of offers of employment rescinded or terminated.</p><p>Disclosure and Barring Service performance is closely monitored and in the vast majority of cases (95%), disclosure certificates are issued within 8 weeks (2015/16).</p><p>In exceptional cases, where it is apparent that a delay is likely to cause undue hardship to an applicant, the DBS will do all it can to expedite the process by raising an escalation with the relevant police force.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK has been operating resettlement schemes for many years and we already have established and effective networks to accommodate and support resettled people.</p><p>This is a voluntary scheme whereby local authorities sign up to accept refugees on a voluntary basis.
