In arriving at this package of measures, we have been mindful of the need to balance the impacts on economic growth and the needs of the labour market.</p><p> </p><p>The Government regularly considers policy proposals and the impacts these will have. The policy proposals do not directly discriminate against people on the basis of the protected characteristics, there may be some indirect impacts. We consider the majority of straightforward applications within six months, however where an application is defined as non-straightforward due to complexity, the customer will be written to within the normal processing time to explain why it will not be decided within the normal standard, and to explain what will happen next.</p><p>It is open to applicants to obtain legal representation from a qualified UK immigration adviser. In the UK, the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) regulates immigration advisers. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/03/2019 answer text <p>Where an application is defined as non-straightforward due to complexity, the customer will be written to within the normal processing time to explain why it will not be decided within the normal standard, and to explain what will happen next.</p><p>All leave to remain applications that seek to rely upon Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights and applications outside of the rules are deemed non-straightforward (or ‘complex’).
