The term spondyloarthritis collectively refers to conditions such as psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, reactive arthritis, enteropathic arthritis, and undifferentiated spondyloarthritis.</p><p> </p><p>In February 2017, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence published the best practice guideline Spondyloarthritis in over 16s: diagnosis and management. The guideline sets out a range of recommendations for clinicians and NHS services, including around the provision of information and support that patients may benefit from, such as: advice about symptoms and self-management; contact details for local and national support organisations; and, information about employment rights and ability to work. Practices are paid per weighted registered patient and, as patients register or de-register with GP at Hand, this will alter the payment to the practice. Funding follows the registered patients, so if patients are leaving their current practice for GP at Hand the funding will move to that practice.
