answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/12/2017 answer text <p>Between 1st January 2015 and 30th November 2017, 929 UK Based Staff have left the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO). This includes retirement, resignation, career breaks and dismissal. It also includes civil servants returning to their parent department at the end of their loan/secondment.</p><p>The Aliens' Employment Act 1955 makes it a requirement that all UK Based Staff in the FCO must be British nationals or dual nationals where one of those nationalities is British. In all but the most exceptional cases, they are contrary to international humanitarian law. Demolitions or evictions of Palestinian families from their homes cause unnecessary suffering and call into question Israel’s commitment to a viable two-state solution. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/12/2017 answer text <p>The UK currently implements over 30 UN and EU sanctions regimes. Many contain travel bans against individuals. Under these sanctions regimes. the UK currently has travel bans in place against approximately 1200 individuals from the following countries: Afghanistan, Belarus, Burundi, Central African Republic, Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Guinea, Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Iran, Libya, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Russia, Yemen, and Zimbabwe. This includes travel bans against members of certain terrorist organisations.</p><p>The Home Office maintains a 'watch list' of all these individuals to ensure effective implementation of the travel bans. The Home Office has also published guidance on international travel bans which is available on the gov.uk website. Consular staff have visited Mr Johal on several occasions since early November and are in contact with his lawyer. Our priority is to inquire about these specific allegations with Mr Johal in private. With his consent we will then raise any allegations made with the relevant authorities. The British Government does not provide specific support to Anglophone citizens. Our High Commissioner in Yaoundé has been following events in the Anglophone regions closely and has actively raised the need for dialogue and restraint with the Cameroonian authorities, including their obligations under international law in respect to human rights.
