As part of this, the UK regularly uses its interventions at the Convention's meetings to call on all States not party to the Convention to accede without delay. The UK and Brazil have a close dialogue on a range of global issues of mutual interest. We will not issue any export licences when there is a clear risk of a serious violation of International Humanitarian Law. We consider a wide range of sources when assessing arms licenses against the Consolidated Criteria, including classified and open source information, and reporting we receive from Non-Governmental Organisations. This includes reports by the UN Panel of Experts, which issues an Annual Report and a Mid-Term Report.
