We have urged the leadership of both the Palestinian and Israeli authorities to avoid engaging in, or encouraging, the type of action and language which will make it more difficult to achieve a peaceful negotiated solution to the conflict. The issue of incitement was last raised with the Palestinian Authority in November 2014, due to our concerns over the volatile situation in Jerusalem and to the complaints we had received about a specific letter written by President Abbas.
