answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/02/2021 answer text <p>To date, the government has provided an unprecedented £300 million Sport Winter Survival Package to give a lifeline to organisations that would otherwise not survive the winter as a result of the restriction on spectators announced from 1 October. This included a provisional allocation of £12 million to support rugby league which is in addition to the £16 million cash injection government announced in May 2020 to safeguard the immediate future of the sport for the communities it serves.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Furthermore, rugby league clubs will have benefitted from the £220m of National Lottery and Exchequer funding committed by Sport England since March 2020 to support community sport clubs and exercise centres through this pandemic. This sector support was recently boosted by an extra £50million to help grassroots sports clubs and organisations as part of Sport England’s new strategy Uniting the Movement. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/10/2019 answer text <p>The GDPR and Data Protection Act came into effect in 2018 and enshrines key principles of purpose limitation and data minimisation in the processing of personal data. Government is currently preparing a statutory code of practice for government departments and public sector organisations to provide guidance on compliance with GDPR.</p><p> </p><p>Additionally, in May this year, the Government Digital Service updated their Digital Service Standards. These standards are publicly available and give users permission to copy, distribute and use technology freely or at a low cost avoiding the need for duplication across government. The team of 13 has been allocated £349,000 for delivery of the strategy and its associated research programme and consultation. There is no budget allocated for the implementation of the strategy. In the event that the UK leaves the EU without a deal, shared threats to cyber security will remain. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/10/2018 answer text <p>The guidelines within the Code of Practice bring together what is widely considered good practice in Internet of Things (IoT) security. As a voluntary document, it provides clarity to industry on the steps that are most important in protecting consumers’ online security and privacy.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>We continue to welcome public pledges from manufacturers to implement the Code for their products, with two major companies having already made such a commitment. The Government’s ambition is to achieve the best possible industry uptake of the Code and we will continue to monitor progress in this area. We remain in discussions with a number of manufacturers and are working towards securing additional industry pledges in the future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Government has also begun work to place appropriate aspects of the Code on a regulatory footing with further details to be shared in due course.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The UK Government is taking a lead on this issue. To make it easier for manufacturers around the world to implement the Code, we have developed an open data JavaScript Object Notation (JSON) file, available here (https://iotsecuritymapping.uk), and translated the Code into a number of different languages on Gov.uk.
