answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 29/03/2021 answer text <p>Officials from my Department are working closely with colleagues in the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) to explore whether there is a solution that can deliver public value and help the Society of Antiquaries and other Learned Societies to remain in situ at New Burlington House.</p><p> </p><p>We do recognise the importance of the Society of Antiquaries, its collections and the historic site it is located in, but equally the government has a duty to maximise return to the public purse so we must explore options which balance the landlord and heritage interests in the situation.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>This government is committed to supporting culture and heritage. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/03/2021 answer text <p>Sports and physical activity are incredibly important for our physical and mental health, and are a vital weapon against coronavirus. The National Leisure Recovery Fund sought to support eligible public sector leisure centres to reopen to the public, giving the sport and physical activity sector the best chance of recovery to a position of sustainable operation over the medium term.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>A total of £100 million was available as a biddable fund to eligible local authorities in England, which was allocated in a single funding round. Eligible local authorities include: those in England who hold responsibility for the provision of leisure services, those who have outsourced their leisure provision to an external body to and those whose outsourced leisure arrangements have ended since 20 March 2020 and services are now delivered as an in-house function. This is in addition to the wider financial support provided to councils throughout the pandemic.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Leisure services for Wakefield Council are delivered in-house under the brand Aspire Health. Therefore, they were not eligible to apply for the National Leisure Recovery Fund and would have been able to access support through the Local Government Income Compensation Scheme.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Of the five local authorities in West Yorkshire, only Kirklees submitted an application to the National Leisure Recovery Fund. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/03/2021 answer text <p>My Department plans to take a number of steps to encourage tourism in all regions following the easing of restrictions.</p><p> </p><p>The Global Travel Taskforce last year committed the Government to publish a Tourism Recovery Plan in support of the sector. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 31/03/2021 answer text <p>My Department will continue to provide guidance and support to tourism businesses across England to ensure that they can comply with COVID-19 restrictions.</p><p>The Government’s COVID-19 Secure guidance for hotels and guest accommodation and the visitor economy will be kept up to date over the coming months, in line with the reopening process for the sector. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/03/2021 answer text <p>The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport launched a call for evidence in September 2020 to examine issues and concerns relating to loot boxes and we have received more than 30,000 responses. As part of the call for evidence, officials held a series of roundtable discussions with video game companies, third sector organisations, researchers, and other government departments; this included regulatory authorities such as the Gambling Commission. The roundtables were organised to discuss a range of public concerns raised about loot boxes, including potential links to gambling-like behaviour.</p><p> </p><p>The call for evidence closed in November 2020 and we are continuing to analyse the evidence gathered. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/04/2021 answer text <p>The government is committed to gigabit capable broadband to everyone in the UK by stimulating investment, busting barriers and driving competition. The UK is on track for one of the fastest rollouts in Europe and for half of all households to have access to gigabit speeds by the end of the year. It is a huge leap forward from 2019, when it was just one in ten.</p><p>The government is investing £5 billion in Project Gigabit to ensure that gigabit capable broadband reaches all communities across the UK. Further detail on our approach is set out in our Project Gigabit -<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/project-gigabit-phase-one-delivery-plan" target="_blank"> Phase One Delivery Plan</a> published on 19 March 2021, including using subsidised procurements to extend gigabit broadband coverage and providing up to £210m to fund a new voucher from the Gigabit Broadband Voucher Scheme and up to £110m to connect rural GP surgeries, libraries and schools.</p><p>West Lancashire is in Phase 2 of the delivery plan. We will begin a national Open Market Review by July 2021 for telecoms providers to give us a picture of where the market plans to invest in gigabit networks over the next three years and to confirm where we need to intervene so places are not left out. Officials from Building Digital UK (BDUK) in DCMS are in regular contact with Lancashire County Council and other partners about the delivery plans for Lancashire.</p><p>Alongside the delivery plan, the government also launched a Call For Evidence for the <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/improving-broadband-for-very-hard-to-reach-premises" target="_blank">Very Hard To Reach</a> premises in the UK.
