<p>The Government welcomes the Commission’s ‘Joint Action Plan against Disinformation’ as an important step in efforts to counter this threat. All countries must take action to protect their societies against disinformation. By agreeing on the Action Plan, the EU has signalled that disinformation activity from any source will not be tolerated. The UK will do what is necessary to protect ourselves and work with our allies to do likewise.</p>
