answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/09/2018 answer text <p>In January the Prime Minister announced a significant programme of cross-government work on loneliness including the world's first Minister responsible for tackling loneliness, my Hon Friend the Minister for Sport and Civil Society. This work includes publishing its strategy for tackling loneliness in England by the end of 2018 and developing the evidence base on loneliness which includes looking at wide and interconnected aspects, including digital, surrounding loneliness. The Minister is also responsible for gambling and lotteries policy and in May, the Government published its response to the Consultation on Proposals for Changes to Gaming Machines and Social Responsibility Measures. The Review looked at the existing protections around gambling advertising across all media and set out a package of initiatives to strengthen them further, including tougher guidance from the Committees of Advertising Practice (CAP) on protecting vulnerable people and children and young people.</p><p> </p><p>We do not propose to bring forward legislation on gambling advertising but we will keep these issues under review. As a condition of the grant agreement, all funding allocated to local bodies will need to be spent by the end of March 2021. The Government supports a number of programmes which enable volunteering opportunities. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2018 answer text <p>The Community Life Survey 2017-18, published on 26 July 2018, reports a 4% decrease in the number of people involved in social action in their local area at least once in the last year since 2013-14, and a 5% decrease in the number of people taking part in formal volunteering at least once a month since 2013-14.</p><p> </p><p>As a result of moving from a face-to-face interview to an online form, it is difficult to compare the Community Life Survey 2017-18 with the results from 2013-14 due to potential skews in the types of respondents and the absence of interviewer effects.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport has invested significantly in programmes to increase meaningful volunteering and social action. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/09/2018 answer text <p>Volunteering gives people a unique opportunity to shape society and share their skills, and DCMS is working closely with other Government departments, charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises to promote the ways that people can give back to their communities.
