answer text <p>We published the Civil Society Strategy in August 2018. This sets out government's vision for how it will work with and for civil society to address social challenges and create a fairer society for all. In creating the Strategy we engaged widely with central government departments and it includes statements from ten government ministers.</p><p> </p><p>At a departmental level my officials work closely with civil society stakeholders when developing policy, and will continue to work with them in delivering the strategy.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Ofcom is the independent communications regulator responsible to parliament with functions and duties for protecting and managing the radio spectrum. Making jammers available is illegal. Provisions in the Wireless Telegraphy Act 2016 also make it illegal to use a jammer, but possession of jammers is not currently illegal.</p> more like this

answer text <p>As was announced at Budget 2018, the Digital Catapult will test the potential of their Field Labs concept, a small experimental trial of Distributed Ledger Technology, working with businesses, investors, and regulators, in a range of areas. We anticipate the first Field Labs will focus on the construction sector and the management of goods in ports.</p><p>The Digital Catapult, while receiving significant long-term funding from the government, is an independent private sector entity. The specific arrangements of the Field Labs, including their participants, focuses, and timing, are therefore a commercial and private decision for the management of the Digital Catapult to take, and we expect it to set out further details in due course.</p> more like this

answer text <p>We are taking a number of steps to promote cultural diplomacy, working very closely with FCO, the British Council and DIT to ensure that culture is fully integrated into the UK’s diplomatic activities, both at home and in our embassies around the world.</p><p> </p><p>This includes the GREAT campaign, annual Seasons of Culture, formal cultural agreements with other governments, the Cultural Protection Fund and UNESCO cultural conventions. Ministers also undertake regular international visits and hold frequent dialogues with foreign counterparts to strengthen our cultural diplomacy with key partner countries.</p><p> </p><p>DCMS is a leading contributor to the government’s forthcoming Soft Power Strategy, of which culture will be a core part.</p><p> </p> more like this
