answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2018 answer text <p>The Government recognises the importance of evidence for youth work, which is why we are making investments to build and strengthen the evidence base for open access, ‘informal’ youth provision. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/04/2018 answer text <p>We are committed to ensuring that those who gamble are protected from gambling-related harm, whether they gamble online or in land-based premises. The Government’s consultation on gaming machines and social responsibility included measures to strengthen protections for online gambling. We will publish our response to the consultation in due course.</p><p>All online operators must supply tools to help players control their gambling, including the option to set financial limits. The Gambling Commission’s 2017 Report on Gambling Participation found that financial limits were the most commonly used gambling management tool. The report also found that, in terms of the information provided by gambling companies, tools to help players control gambling had the biggest impact on stopping or reducing the amount people spent on gambling.</p><p>In March 2018 the Gambling Commission announced plans to consult on customer due-diligence proposals which would require operators to set limits on players’ spending that could only be increased once they had further verified information about the player, for example through an affordability check.</p> answering member constituency Chatham and Aylesford answering member printed Tracey Crouch question first answered 23/04/2018 16:08:39 answering member 3950 label Biography information for Dame Tracey Crouch

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 18/04/2018 answer text <p>The changes made to the existing third party campaigning rules by the Transparency of Lobbying Act 2014 do not restrict charities’ freedom to campaign to further their charitable purposes in a non-partisan way, but instead make the political system more accountable. Charities can legitimately undertake a wide range of campaigning activities as part of their work.</p><p> </p><p>The Electoral Commission provides clear guidance for charities that may be considering campaigning in the run up to an election. The latest Great Britain wide data on gambling participation and problem gambling rates is set out in the Health Survey report on Gambling Behaviour in Great Britain 2015, published in August 2017. We are giving the report’s recommendations full consideration and will respond in due course. These plans were published on the Public Accounts Committee website on 3rd November 2017.</p><p>Furthermore, improving governance was one of the key aims of the National Citizen Service Act (2017).
