The joint DCMS-Home Office Online Harms White Paper, published in April 2019, outlined the government’s plans to make the UK the safest place in the world to go online. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 10/02/2020 answer text <p>The Government is committed to ensuring people across the country have access to football facilities, which is why we committed to investing £550m into grassroots football facilities over the next 10 years.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The government has also committed £1m to support The Football Association’s and Sport England’s programme to raise awareness and promote Euro 2020 across England. This includes improving football facilities around the country - known as the ‘National Promotion Programme’. The ‘National Promotion Programme’ will focus on both new and existing community football facilities, forming part of the existing National Football Facilities Strategy.</p><p> </p><p>The Football Foundation, who provide Exchequer funding on behalf of Sport England as well as other investments funded by the FA and Premier League, have already invested £1,803,840 for football projects in the constituency of Bosworth. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 13/02/2020 answer text <p>The Government announced in-principle support in October 2019 for the mobile network operators’ (MNOs) Shared Rural Network (SRN) proposal. The proposal would share investment costs between the MNOs and government and increase 4G mobile coverage throughout the United Kingdom to 95% by 2025. It will be underpinned by a legally binding coverage commitment from each operator.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government's in-principle support is subject to detailed negotiations. While this is not yet a done deal, the Prime Minister has made improvements to rural mobile coverage part of his first 100 days pledge. I will continue to work with the sector to make that happen.</p><p>The exact site deployment plans and timescales will be managed by the MNOs themselves in order for them to best deliver the agreed coverage outcomes. So until the operators’ final radio planning exercise is complete, neither the Government nor the operators will know the precise location or number of new or upgraded masts. This investment will be a balance of capital and revenue funding. The capital funding will build 60 more youth centres, refurbish 360 existing centres, and 100 mobile centres for harder to reach areas across the country, which will deliver high quality services to young people.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The revenue funding will support the provision and coordination of high-quality youth services and positive activities for young people, building on the investment provided by the £7m Youth Accelerator Fund which launched on 30th January 2020.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Youth Investment Fund is being designed in close consultation with young people, the organisations that work with them, and other departments. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/02/2020 answer text <p>Government has pledged £5 billion to support the rollout of gigabit-capable networks to the hardest to reach parts of the country. In addition, the Government’s £200m Rural Gigabit Connectivity programme is already supporting rollout of gigabit broadband in rural areas. This funding will be targeted at the premises where we do not expect operators to commercially invest, to ensure that no part of the country will be left behind.</p><p>In addition to this, £49m of funding for the Wave 3 Local Full Fibre Networks project has been successfully bid for since the last budget. This is on top of the previously announced £53m million of funding.</p><p>We expect that the rest of the UK will get gigabit capable networks through private investment. Therefore, rather than fund rollout in commercially viable areas with public money, we are focusing on breaking down barriers to deployment in order to enable faster rollout by the private sector operators. This demonstrates the growing availability and take-up of superfast broadband in the UK.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In comparing the UK to other EU countries, the latest data from the 2019 Digital Society and Economy Index (DESI) report by the European Commission shows that the UK ranked seventh out of 28 EU countries for the availability of superfast broadband. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/02/2020 answer text <p>The Government is implementing a number of reforms to make it easier for the private sector to deploy gigabit capable broadband as quickly as possible, building on the recommendations of the Future Telecoms Infrastructure Review.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>For example, the Government recently introduced the Telecommunications Infrastructure (Leasehold Property) Bill into Parliament, which will make it easier for operators to connect leasehold properties to gigabit broadband where the landlord repeatedly fails to respond to requests from operators to access the property. In the Queen’s Speech, the Government also announced it will legislate to ensure new build homes have the infrastructure to support gigabit capable connections by requiring housing developers to work with broadband companies to install these connections in virtually all new build homes, up to a cost cap.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In addition to commercial delivery by the private sector, the Government has announced £5bn of funding to deliver faster broadband in the hardest to reach areas of the UK.
