answer text <p>Due to commercial sensitivities, unfortunately the locations being considered for the GIGO Headquarters cannot be released at this stage. The trilateral partners have agreed at Ministerial level that the headquarters of the GIGO and corresponding joint business construct will be located in the UK. A process is underway that will progressively narrow down the options to a short list from which recommendations will be made. answer text <p>The ARAP scheme provides relocation or other assistance specifically to Afghan nationals who worked for or alongside UK forces in support of the UK's mission in Afghanistan, as set out in the specific eligibility criteria in the ARAP policy.</p><p> </p><p>Members of the Afghan national security forces such as Commando Force 333 - whilst their efforts heroic - are not automatically in scope for relocation under ARAP unless they meet these criteria.</p><p> </p><p>Those who are eligible can also apply for support in the UK under Op NEWHOPE. The Ministry of Defence works closely with third sector partners to deliver Operation NEWHOPE, which is our pastoral commitment to support the individuals who have and want to maintain their Defence connection by providing camaraderie, community support, and pathways to employment.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The safety of our personnel and their families is our highest priority, and it is unacceptable for any family to be living in a home without the necessary checks.</p><p> </p><p>As of 20 June 2023, 795 occupied Service Family Accommodation were without valid gas certificates. Of those 795 SFA, 115 appointments were not attended (missed) by contractors as originally planned.</p><p> </p><p>Appointments have been rebooked with Service families to complete the inspections before the end of June. All 115 families have now received compensation for the missed appointments.</p><p> </p><p>The Department recognises the frustration this will have caused families and have impressed on their suppliers the need for clear communication and strong control over the activities of their sub-contractors to avoid such instances wherever possible.</p> more like this
