answer text <p>Prior to embarking on any operational deployment, all units undertake a rigorous Force Generation and assurance process to ensure they are ready for operations.</p><p>Both HMS DEFENDER and HMS DIAMOND completed the final stages of this process with the Carrier Strike Group (CSG) during Exercise STRIKE WARRIOR in May 2021, before proceeding on the maiden CSG deployment.</p> more like this

answer text <p>103 applications to the Afghan Relocation and Assistance Policy (ARAP) have been approved since the conclusion of Operation Pitting on 28 August.</p><p>These applications have been accepted under ARAP because the applicant fulfils the eligibility criteria of the scheme, however their relocation is not guaranteed until Home Office security checks have taken place and their visa is approved.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>Details of annual expenditure on consultants (covering such areas as project management, organisational design, finance and legal) by Defence Equipment and Support (DE&amp;S) have been set out in the DE&amp;S Annual Report and Accounts (ARAC) since financial year 2014/15, when DE&amp;S was established as a Bespoke Trading Entity. Prior to 2014/15, DE&amp;S consultancy costs were not identified separately from the Equipment Plan.</p><p> </p><p>The DE&amp;S ARAC for the financial year 2020/21 will be published in due course, following completion of the approvals process. answer text <p>Under Military Aid to Civilian Authority, Defence has made available approximately 250 military fuel tanker drivers and a similar number of support staff, to assist the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy with ensuring the continuity of fuel supplies around Great Britain. As part of ensuring that Defence has a suitably qualified workforce, we train personnel in a variety of different categories of driving licences. This is primarily to enable the safe operation of military vehicles and equipment in worldwide operations and qualified personnel are regularly deployed overseas. It would therefore be misleading to specify numbers of qualified personnel against specific driving license requirements currently held within Defence or specifically in the UK.</p> more like this
